Somehow, probably due to our involvement in Occupy Portland or PETA, we have “synergized backward overflow” and become nominated as Righteous Gentiles.

This OCT we used 398 total KWH’s, that’s still quite a bit, 13.2 per day which is like using 552 watts constantly 24/7.
552 watts is like running about 15 average laptops together constantly. Our solar system made about 3.0KWH per day this month.

Having been inspired by norris, jasmine, tulsey, the sustainability-tribe, debbie and I foraged about 60 fallen apples this morning as well as another 20 or so chestnuts.
Plus look at the corn from our garden, and the carrots – we are going to be busy making stuff today – I made pie!

Deb and I are excited to be house-sitting this partially off the grid Yurt that is about 14 miles from Deb’s job to the NE in the woods. It has limited electricity, currently no running water, wood-heat, but two cats and a beautiful set of trail pathways. Nine DAYS!

Ok, so there isn’t much eco about it other than a bit of recycled wood and flashing – but here it is, the finished roof-rain-shelter area with solar powered cutie-lights.
